Abstract

Hazel Marsh discusses the history of the Bearmouth, Montana area from the prespective of a longtime resident of the area. Topics included are the homesteading by the Lannen family in 1865, the operation of the Lannen ranch and hotel, relations between Bearmouth and Garnet, Montana, residents of the area, Hazel's life as the foster daughter of the Lannen family, her school experiences at Sacred Heart Academy, her marriage and caring for the Lannens.
